Watersound (South Walton / 30A) — quiet, upscale coastal village with direct dune-to-beach access via boardwalks, golf and club amenities, bike- and golf-cart-friendly streets, and proximity (short drive or bike) to neighboring beach towns and restaurants (Alys/Inlet/Rosemary). Expect vacation-home style housing, seasonal rental traffic in summer, and easy access to outdoor recreation (beaches, trails, water sports).

Driving is the most convenient way to move around the area; most guests rent a car. The community is highly walkable by local standards for short trips and very bikeable — many guests use bikes or golf carts for beach runs and nearby errands. Rideshare and local taxi services operate in Panama City Beach/30A region, but availability is limited at peak times; private shuttle services and local car rentals are common for airport transfers. No local commuter rail; regional bus service is limited, so plan ground transport ahead during peak season.
